Cannes isn't just for the International Film Festival, it's a stunning town on the French Riviera that attracts visitors from all over the world, especially those looking for an amazing New Years Eve experience.

Rich in culture, with museums, theatre and music, it is renowned for its glitz and glamour which attracts the world's celebrities and elites, and over new years eve it remains an eminently popular venue.

During December the place transforms in the run up to Christmas and New Year, with Christmas decorations and fairy lights and of course the Christmas village on Allees de la Liberte and the fairground and ice rink at Allées de la Liberte amongst the many other festive activities to get you in the spirit of the season.

Visit La Croisette or Rue d'Antibes for some serious shopping, peruse the haute couture boutiques and stop in one of the tea salons. Fans of Chanel and Gucci will want to make a beeline for this area!

Have a Bonne annee in Cannes and head to Promenade de la Croisette to see the stunning themed fireworks display over the bay that lights up the night sky, you won't be alone as people tend to gather here for the festivities.

You can also venture to the old quarter Le Suquet, as you'll get some fab restaurants and also a good view of the fireworks.
