Should you happen to be in the picturesque Florida town of St Augustine for the new years eve celebrations then go forth and explore this lovely city in Florida. Marvel at the fireworks as you welcome 2024.
From strolls along the beaches, museums and basilicas to distilleries and the World Golf Home of Fame, there's something for everyone to enjoy your stay. Go visit Castillo de San Marcos built in the 17th century this masonry fort is a history buffs dream.
It's said to be the oldest occupied port and city in the US and has a wonderful combination European and American architecture. Visit some of the art galleries, museums and to make you feel super festive jump on one of the Old Town Trolley tours to take in the famous Nights of Light, where you tour the historic district that it illuminated with millions of lights and then go see the Christmas tree on Plaza de la Constitucion.

Light Up the Night (formerly known as Beach Blast Off) is a Fireworks show held at 8.30pm from St John's County Ocean Pier. The old town trolley shuttles will have one pick up location only at Anastasia Baptist Church and will drop off on A1A Beach Blvd at A Street, 10th Street and Pier Park. The transport is very limited and can't be guaranteed to get you there in time for the fireworks, so it might be best to walk, bike or take public transport.
You can enjoy the fireworks from many locations, including the shuttle drop off locations.
There are many wonderful black tie events if you want some luxury, from Gala dinners to masquerade balls. Many restaurants and bars will be holding their own special New Years Eve events, many of which have live music and carry on over midnight. Best to book in advance for this busy night.
