If you are planning on being in Malta's capital city for New Years Eve, you're pretty much guaranteed to have a great time, with a great selection of NYE parties and celebrations to welcome 2024 in style!

This beautiful city with its grand harbour and historical architecture makes it the perfect place to visit, the weather won't be too bad either compared to other European destinations.

Visit the Grand Master Palace in St George's Square, venture into St John's Co-Cathedral (St John's Square) to see the stunning interior. Take time to see some of the pre-historic temples, peruse museums, head underground to the catacombs, explore Casa Rocca Piccola or take a boat tour around the grand harbour.

Take in a show at Teatru Manoel which during December will have wonderful Christmas concerts and choirs, or venture down Republic Street, for some late night shopping and to enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations and lights.

Grand Harbour Fireworks

New Years Eve in Malta will go with a big bang, mainly at the fantastic firework display at the Grand Harbour, so you should plan to be near or on the Valletta promenade when the clock strikes midnight.

Valletta waterfront will be bustling with revellers ready to party into the night, with restaurants, bars and clubs all ready to provide you with New Years Eve celebrations.

St George's Square New Years Eve

St George's Square is another great location to bring in the New Year. There will be live music, entertainment and a great party atmosphere, topped off with fireworks after the countdown to see you into a happy new year! Hosted this year by Ron, Taryn Mamo Cefai, Keane Cutajar.

The St George's Square party has some top entertainers performing and this year we will see performances from: The Palace String Orchestra, AIDAN, Drakard, Jasmine Abela, Klinsmann Coleiro, Megan May, Sarah Bonnici and Emma Muscat,. This is a free event.
